Senator Barack Obama wins Nebraska, Washington State, Louisiana and the Virgin Islands today! The candidate of "Hope", continues the trail to the White House with momentum, picking up important delegates on the way. It was widely expected that he might sweep the three states this weekend, while Senator Clinton, a formidable opponent, continues to campaign and raised over $7.3m, since Super Tuesday. Both candidates met up later in the day, and gave commanding and inspiring speeches at the Jefferson dinner in Virginia. The two candidates will meet up again for the DC, Maryland and Virginia elections next Tuesday.
Former Governor Mike Huckabee, won the Kansas race, and picked up 36 delegates. The pundits keep telling us that Huckabee can't win, but the voters are saying otherwise. The Washington State and Louisiana elections are still being tallied, but clearly Senator John McCain is still the front runner for the republican party. However, Senator McCain is still trying to reassure skeptical conservatives, that he is conservative enough to be the commander in chief. Kind of silly to think that he's not (in my opinion), but he continues to reach out to republicans by speaking at the CPAC (republican event), last week.
Personally, I think Huckabee displays a lot of heart and continues to prove the pundits and the likes, wrong. Good job Huckster, at least the people have a choice!
