Hope or Fairy Tale?

As we approach "Super Tuesday", I find myself very excited to be an American, a Chicagoan and yes, a little superstitious. Superstitious from the astrological standpoint. Consider the fact that Leos are known to possess a sunny demeanor, infectious spirit and personal magnetism. Now the last president that fit this personality type, that I voted for, was President Bill Clinton-born August 19th, a Leo. So, what, you say? Well, Senator Barack Obama, born August 4th is a Leo too-and fits the above character type (sunny demeanor, infectious spirit and personal magnetism). Both individuals are very charismatic and know how to uplift the American spirit. However, President Bill Clinton can't run for the Commmander in Chief again-and unfortunately, Senator Hillary Clinton is NO Bill Clinton! To that point, I'm hoping that Senator Barack Obama grace the stage at the Democratic Convention, as the presidential candidate for the democratic party.

I do not consider myself a democrat or a republican, but rather an American. In passed years sometimes I voted republican, sometimes I voted democrat, and unfortunately, sometimes I voted for the lesser of the two evils. However, for the first time since I cast my very first vote in 1984, I'm going to feel very confident in casting my vote for Senator Barack Obama. Not because of the color of his skin, but because I think our nation needs him.

Years of divisive politics (on the right and on the left, in the media, specifically the cable networks and TALK RADIO)-have divided and polarized our country. Our freedom and rights are more and more threatened and the middle class has disappeared. The days of the red state vs. blue state, republican vs. democrat, conservative vs. liberal or even black vs. white, is so 20th century. Barack Obama is the 21st century candidate that can unite our nation, reestablish our credibility throughout the world, bring our troops home with honor, protect us from extreme Islamics and ensure that his cabinet members are working for the people. And if that's not enough reasons for you, ponder this thought: Are you tired of the Bush/Clinton legacy? These two families have literally ran this country (good, bad or indifferent), for the last 28 years! The democratic and republican parties have been hijacked long enough. Isn't it time for a real CHANGE??.....
